Summary

A resourceful senior finance / marketing orientated executive with over 30 years experience in management and executive positions in all phases of management, in a range of companies from startups to a multi-billion dollar international corporation.

Dick Dadamo has held senior management positions in Electronic Memories & Magnetics, TRW, Inc and The TRW Fujitsu Company, as well as technical positions in Univac and Burroughs. He has International experience serving as Managing Director in European and Hong Kong companies.

As a consultant, Dick Dadamo has been involved in over 15 turnaround companies in several different markets. He heads his own management consulting firm, RJD Associates, Inc. There he provides mentoring for CEO's and Presidents of small companies, serving in effect as their Board of Directors.

In addition, Dick Dadamo serves as a director for several companies, publishes a monthly management newsletter, and chairs a monthly Executive Roundtable comprised of several local CEO's and Presidents. He has published the books The Laws Of Management Physics: A Handbook For Hands-On Executives, and Will the Real Inventory Please Stand Up and Be Counted.

He received his B.S. from Penn State University and M.S. from Drexel Institute of Technology. He has completed the Executive Management Program at U.S.C.

Line Management Experience
1992 CEO, The Earth Technology Corporation, a public Environmental Consulting Company with sales of $60 million.
Director for 11 years. Replaced the founder CEO in April 1992 while retaining a Board seat. Provided focus and direction while keeping the senior management in place. Results included a cleaning out of past sins related to poor acquisitions by the previous CEO, a return to sustained operating profit after two straight loss years, significant reduction in debt, and an increase in the market value of the stock of over 60%. The president was elected CEO in January 1993.
1990-  1992 President and COO, American International Devices, a $15 million manufacturer and marketer of Memory systems.
Worked for a 100% owner who entrusted me with the operation of the company. Moved the company into new products after two years of significant profit in a dying market for a one-product company. The company survived, and the bank debt was reduced to zero. Owner is carrying on with the transition.
1975- 1981 Vice President positions with TRW Electronic Components Group,
TRW Computer Equipment Division, and TRW-Fujitsu Company:
1980 - Vice President Operations - The TRW-Fujitsu Company.
Was the number 2 man in newly formed partnership between TRW, Inc. and Fujitsu of Japan. Responsible for the profit and loss of the company's Retail Point of Sale and Banking Systems products. Required working closely with Fujitsu to define enhancements and new products to serve the retail and banking markets.
1979 - Vice President & General Manager, CS&S Electronics Group TRW, Inc.
Responsible for computer related Systems in the Retail Point of Sale and Banking Markets with sales over $85 Million. Put in charge to improve weak performing division. Resulted in a merger with Fujitsu of Japan.
1975 - 1978. Staff - TRW Electronics Components Group.
Involved in planning, acquisitions, divesture and troubleshooting - including:
1977 - 1978. General Manager Cinch Graphic - Printed Circuit Boards.
Provided a $2 Million positive swing in profitability on sales of $12 Million. Re-directed product thrust successfully to military market from commercial.
1975 - 1976. International Director, Electronic Components, International Division.
Responsible for the international sales of components $75 Million worldwide. Operated from Italy in a dual role including Managing Director for Mial, a company with factories and offices in Brazil, Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy. Working with US Divisions, eliminated division overhead costs and implemented a plan to assign, by related product, the international product responsibility to the US operating divisions.
1962- 1974 Management Positions with Electronic Memories and Magnetics.
Spent twelve years in numerous roles starting with a field sales assignment and ending as Senior Vice President and President, Computer Products Group.
1969- 1974. President - Computer Products Group.
Sales over $100 million with 7,500 people in the USA and five foreign countries. Responsible for expanding products and markets beyond ferrite memory cores (the company's original bread and butter product) into computer systems, peripherals and supplies.
1967 - 1968. General Manager - Ferrite Core Division.
Took a black magic process of making ferrite memory cores to 20 billion cores per year, and the leader in ferrite core memories.
1965 - 1966 - Managing Director, Tek Devices Ltd. Hong Kong.
Starting an assembly plant in Hong Kong for memory core stringing. Sent to Hong Kong alone to do all activities for start up and able to ship product back in 90 days. Increased operation to 500 people and into systems assembly while there.
1962 - 1964 - Sales Manager, Eastern Region.
Hired into Electronic Memories to establish a high tech sales organization to support military sales in satellite memories. Build a direct sales/manufacturing representative organization that influenced company to move into commercial market, resulting in booking 80% of total sales and a ratio of 2 to 1 commercial/military in final year.
